We were thrilled when the fans embraced Red Alert 2 and were even more excited when we picked up the latest issue of PC Gamer. The prestigious magazine recently awarded Command & Conquer Red Alert 2 Best Real-Time Strategy and Best Multiplayer Game in their Seventh Annual PC Gamer Awards.

In a year packed full of new RTS titles, RA2 took the top spot. PC Gamer mentioned the captivating single-player campaigns and awesome speed as reasons for awarding RA2 this impressive distinction.

"From the high-quality opening cinematic...to its fast-moving addictive gameplay, Red Alert 2 is an all around triumph," said PC Gamer. "It does everything that a good sequel should: deliver an updated play experience while retaining the familiar feel of the original."

PC Gamer also recognized RA2's outstanding multiplayer component by awarding it Best Multiplayer Game.

"Kudos to Westwood for creating both a kickass addictive experience and a user-friendly interface that makes finding and setting up multiplayer matches over Westwood Online easier than with any other RTS," said PC Gamer.

Patch 1.004 for RA2 has been released and is available by clicking on the link below. Or for those who play online, RA2 will automatically update once you log into WOL, no mess downloads. This patch updates a lot of stuff so be sure to click on the 1.004 information link to read all about it, otherwise have FUN!

The latest Red Alert 2 map pack has arrived. In this download players will find never before seen official maps created by the Red Alert 2 team. Once the file is downloaded, simply copy the 3 maps included in this zip into the directory in which you installed Red Alert 2. Have Fun!!!
